Who We Are
The Lion’s Well is part of the aspiring entrepreneur event, however, it is expected that it will be open to the public and everyone is welcomed to participate and have fun. It is believed that having an open night will further allow attendees of the aspiring entrepreneur event to network and socialise with other people from the wider communities.
We chose to use a “lion” as a symbol because of what a lion represents. A lion is strong, courageous and powerful which are values we think of when thinking of the migrant community and the way in which they have moved their lives away from a home they know. “Well” typically thought of as drinking well but for us Well symbolises the fountain of culture and friendship that is encapsulated within our party. So come drink from the Lion's Well!
PURPOSE - SUPPORTING SOCIETY
The Lion’s Well Party is supporting four areas:
- To provide opportunity for artists from the migrant community to showcase their talents.
- Raise fund to support emerging artists that have been impacted by COVID-19.
- As part of the aspiring migrant entrepreneur event, this after party provides opportunity for attendees of the aspiring
migrant entrepreneur event to social and network.
- Provide opportunity for AUT event management students to gain real-life experience in the production of event
